Your Sauna Experience

Should I sauna before or after my massage?

​

There is no wrong answer here… it’s completely up to you.  If you choose to sauna before your massage, your muscles will be warmed up for your treatment, and is will be easier to reach and release those areas holding a lot of tension and stress.

​

If you prefer to enjoy a sauna session after your massage, the sauna will help you sweat out toxins released during your treatment.

​

For clients receiving Myofascial Release (MFR), we recommend using the Sauna after your treatment, as it will help with soreness and enhance the effects of your treatment.

​

Preparing for your sauna session:

  • Drink plenty of water before during and after your session.

  • Wash your face and apply a light moisturizer.

  • Remove all jewelry.  High temperatures can heat the metal and burn your skin.

  • Leave the tech behind.  Cellphones, smart watches and fitness trackers should be left outside of the sauna.  The warm environment can damage the hardware.  Besides, you’re supposed to relax!

  • Wear, or sit on a towel, and use a fresh one to dry off after your session.

  • After your session, wear cool, loose clothing and drink more water.  

  • Don’t forget to book your next session!
